Are you really all vegan? What about the sugar?
Absolutely! We take pride in our commitment to veganism and cruelty-free practices. Even our sugars are carefully chosen to ensure they’re 100% vegan and have never been filtered with bone char. We meticulously select every ingredient to stay true to our values and ensure the highest standards in our products.
Are you really 100% all natural?
Yes, we are! We don't use any synthetic chemicals in our products nor do we use any preservatives. We use ingredients that are easily recognisable: rice, coffee, cocoa butters, coconut oil, sweet almond oil. We ensure our products are paraben-free and free from any nasties.
The less common ingredients we use which you may not have come across before are:
- Candelilla Wax: Found in our lip balms and tints, this plant-based wax from the Candelilla shrub (native to Northwest Mexico and Southwest U.S.) is a safe vegan alternative with a Low Hazard rating of 0 on EWG. [Read more here]
- Iron Oxide: Used in our lip tints, this naturally occurring mineral adds a lovely rosy hue and has a Low Hazard rating of 2 on EWG. [Read more here]
- Boron Nitride: Included in our lip tints, this naturally occurring mineral provides the perfect slip and shimmer with a Low Hazard rating of 0 on EWG. [Read more here]

Are your products organic?
Most of our products are organic: our lip balm, lip tints & coffee scrub are made using organic ingredients.
Where are your products made in? Where is Handmade Heroes from?
Handmade Heroes and all of our products are all handcrafted in Malaysia.
Is your packaging BPA-free?
Yes, all of our packagings is BPA and worry-free.
How long do your products last? And how do they last without preservatives?
With the self-preserving properties of the ingredients we use and the elimination of water, our products have a shelf life of 6 months to 1 year.
Our lip balms, tints, and dry shampoos have a shelf life of 1 year.
Our lip and body scrubs have a shelf life of 6 months. We recommend using our scrubs within 3 months of opening.
Are your products safe to use during pregnancy?
Our products are made from natural ingredients and are generally safe, but we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider to ensure they are suitable for you during pregnancy.
How do I store my products?
Keep in a cool, dry area. Avoid introducing water to the products and always use clean hands (or spoon, preferably).
Introducing water to the products will provide a suitable environment for bacteria to grow and thrive. And we certainly don't want that!
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, our products are formulated to be gentle and are free from harsh chemicals, making them suitable for sensitive skin. However, we recommend doing a patch test before using any new product extensively.
Are you coming out with this ____ product? I would love to have an all natural version of it!

How do I use your body scrubs?
Our body scrubs require a little bit of water.
In the shower, place a spoonful of body scrub in your palms and add a splash of water. Mix in your hands until it is creamy in texture and luxurious to scrub. Scrub and leave on for 2 to 5 minutes for best results. Shower as per normal and towel dry.
Our body scrubs leave you beautifully moisturised after, so you don't need to apply any lotions or cream!
Can my young daughter/son use your lip tints/balms?
Yes, absolutely! Our lip tints and balms are crafted from all-natural ingredients, so you don’t need to worry if they end up in your mouth. We steer clear of petroleum and other harsh chemicals, ensuring you can use our products with complete peace of mind.
Do you have a brick and mortar shop? Where can I try out your products?
Yes, our Handmade Heroes Flagship Store is located at APW Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur!

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! We are currently shipping to Brunei, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia and Philippines using DHL Express Worldwide.
Rates are based on weight and is calculated at checkout.
What are the methods of delivery for Malaysian orders and processing time for orders?
To ensure safe delivery of all our orders, we use registered mail service for all local orders using GDEX or PICKUPP.
Once you place your order, kindly allow 1-2 business days (Monday - Friday) for your order to be processed and another 2-3 business days for delivery.

Every Handmade Heroes product is handcrafted with love, care and detail to ensure quality. Regrettably, once you've placed an order on our website, we’re unable to cancel or make changes to your order. We are also unable to offer returns and refunds.
