1. Are you really all vegan? What about the sugar?
Yes, we are, even our sugars are vegan. We nitpick our ingredients to ensure they are all vegan and cruelty-free. Our sugars are vegan and have not been filtered with bone char.
2. Are you really 100% all natural?
Yes, we are! We don't use any synthetic chemicals in our products nor do we use any preservatives. We use ingredients that are easily recognisable: rice, coffee, cocoa butters, coconut oil, sweet almond oil.
Our products are paraben free and don't contain any nasties.
The less common ingredients we use which you may not have come across before are:
Candelilla Wax - Used in our lip balms and tints. A plant-based wax derived from the Candelilla shrub, native to Northwest Mexico and Southwest United States. It is a safe vegan alternative. It has a Low Hazard rating of 0 on EWG (Read more on its EWG rating here.)
Iron Oxide - Used in our lip tints. Commonly used in mineral makeup, Iron Oxide is a naturally occurring mineral. It gives our lip tints a nice beautiful rosy hue. It has a Low Hazard rating of 2 on EWG (Read more on its EWG rating here.)
Boron Nitride - Used in our lip tints. Boron Nitride is a safe naturally occurring mineral used in mineral makeup. It gives our lip tints just the right amount of slip and shimmer. It has a Low Hazard rating of 0 on EWG. (Read more on its EWG rating here.)
3. Are your products organic?
Most of our products are organic: our lip balm, lip tints & coffee scrub are made using organic ingredients.
4. Where are your products made in? Where is Handmade Heroes from?
Handmade Heroes and all of our products are all handcrafted in Malaysia.
5. Is your packaging BPA-free?
Yes, all of our packagings is BPA and worry-free.
6. How long do your products last? And how do they last without preservatives?
With the self-preserving properties of the ingredients we use and the elimination of water, our products have a shelf life of 6 months to 1 year.
Our lip balms, tints, and dry shampoos have a shelf life of 1 year.
Our lip and body scrubs have a shelf life of 6 months. We recommend using our scrubs within 3 months of opening.
7. How do I keep my products?
Keep in a cool, dry area. Avoid introducing water to the products and always use clean hands (or spoon, preferably).
Introducing water to the products will provide a suitable environment for bacteria to grow and thrive. And we certainly don't want that!
8. How do I use your body scrubs?
Our body scrubs require a little bit of water.
In the shower, place a spoonful of body scrub in your palms and add a splash of water. Mix in your hands until it is creamy in texture and luxurious to scrub. Scrub and leave on for 2 to 5 minutes for best results. Shower as per normal and towel dry.
Our body scrubs leave you beautifully moisturised after, so you don't need to apply any lotions or cream!

10. Can my young daughter/son use your lip tints/balms?
Yes! Our lip tints and balms are made of all natural ingredients, so you don't have to worry about them eating it. They don't contain any petroleum or any other nasty chemicals. You can feel very safe with our products.
11. Do you have a brick and mortar shop? Where can I try out your products?
1. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! We are currently shipping to Brunei, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia and Philippines using DHL Express Worldwide. Rates are based on weight and is calculated at checkout.
2. What are the methods of delivery for Malaysian orders and processing time for orders?
To ensure safe delivery of all our orders, we use registered mail service for all local orders using GDEX.
Once you place your order, kindly allow 2-3 business days (Monday - Friday) for your order to be processed and another 1-2 business days for delivery.
